This one is for the History teachers… what happened on today’s date back in 1914? This is a photo I took of the location when I was on a summer missions trip there in 1998. •••••••••••• If you guessed the assassinationArchduke Franz Ferdinand then you are correct! This was taken in Sarajevo, Bosnia. In the second picture I am on the right and we are seated at the memorial .We were there teaching English to some of the survivors of the war that was going on there at that time in 1998. So much has happened in that area to the people that lived there through so many conflicts. #teachhistorytokids #historyisimportant #prayforpeace

I guess I am a late bloomer… it took me 21 years but today I was named “Teacher of the Year” for the first time in my career. I am so grateful for the support of my principal this year @kristimaclifeoftheparty and my fellow teachers. I am thankful to the Lord that we were able to be in person for the entire school year!
